Thank you for checking ViaFlair out!
I want to begin by telling you how this blog started.
Once upon a time, when I was a junior in high school, I was assigned to visit museums and write reports about it, not out of free will but out of obligation. Glamorous, I know. In my defense, I was a chronic procrastinator back then, suffering with a low grade and in need of extra credit to save my grade. Although I had the urge to Photoshop my face on to a Google image, I endured the hassle of going to D.C.
I never thought much of the city since I live less than thirty minutes away from it.
A simple school assignment led me to a plethora of places to visit. It was baffling to know that there are so many destinations in D.C and people don’t know about it! I decided, in case I ever move out of my area, I want to move out without the guilt of not taking full advantage of my local city.
That’s where it all started.
Ever since my uneventful realization, I always try to find the coolest places to eat, hangout, shop and take amazing pictures in the capital. With time and something called SOCIAL MEDIA, I became known as the “DC girl” to my friends, family and coworkers. I became a go to DC tour guide for everyone I know. I still gets texts, Snapchats, Instagram messages about places to eat, visit and help if someone is simply lost.
Along with questions about DC, people seek my opinion in realm of style and fashion.
People have questions and I have the answers and I realized I could do something with that. That is how ViaFlair was born.
Simple as that.
